For those who don’t know, GPD is a manufacturer of mini laptops that run Windows and Android that are focused on portable gaming. Due to their price, they are not a direct competition to the Nintendo Switch, but their next offer could interest those who like to play on a gaming laptop
Happens that GPD will now launch a regular-sized gaming laptopHowever, to differentiate themselves from the competition they show a system with the peculiarity of having 2 13.3-inch OLED screens, which is a certainly interesting attraction that will even come with its respective stylus and many connection ports.
The better one called GPD Duo may remind you of a DS or 3DS since the screen folds up, as if it were a clam. The only thing to mention here is the keyboard. The manufacturer points out that when folded it is the size of an A4 sheet, and when the screens are extended, it measures 18 inches.
The interesting thing is that the screens of said device have 4,096 pressure points so you can use a stylus, plus it can also function as a Surface. Contrary to recent devices that limit themselves to giving you a USB C port, it seems that this one will come with an Ethernet input, USB and a card reader.
We still have to find out what processor it will use. If it comes with Windows 11, it will likely work with a Qualcomm Snapdragon, but let’s not rule out a Ryzen with an integrated GPU.
We also recommend: PSVR 2 will now have value, its PC adapter is on the way
GPD not only has a gaming laptop, it makes priceless mini-consoles, but of good quality
Investigating a little more about GPD, we found that they have several portable PC gaming equipment and, as you can imagine, they have higher prices than a Steam Deck or a ROG Ally.
To give you a good idea, they have something called GPD Win 4 (which they ship through Ali Express) that comes with 32 GB of RAM and a solid state hard drive and an AMD Ryzen 7 8840 U processor that has integrated graphics. It even has a module so you can put a 4G LTE chip.
In addition to the regular keyboard, it comes with two analog sticks, a track pad, a directional pad, 4 front buttons and their respective triggers in the corners. It looks awkward, but maybe it’s functional. How much does it cost? Just over 21 thousand MXN.
We would have to see it in action, but everything that this Gamer Laptop has, well, it has our attention. What do you think about this product? Do you find it interesting or slightly practical? Follow the conversation through our Discord and don’t miss our news at Google news.
