Sunday of other times for the two-time world champion
Alvaro Bautista lived a life Sunday in style 2022-2023 in Aragon, winning the Superpole Race and Race-2 ahead of Toprak Razgatlioglu and Nicolò Bulega, who, thanks to the technical knockout in Race-1, saw the Turk slip away again in the Drivers’ standings (the BMW driver has a 39-point lead). Below are the words of the two official Ducati riders.
Alvaro Bautista: “AND It was a very nice Sunday also because I had a lot of fun riding the bike. Compared to yesterday the sensations were decidedly better and this allowed me to push already in the Superpole Race to overtake Nicolò and Toprak who were having a great race. In Race-2 the battle with Toprak was exhausting. I am very happy for having given great satisfaction to my family, friends and all the fans who came to Aragon
Nicolò Bulega: “On the first lap I found myself involved in some fairly aggressive overtaking which made me lose a lot of ground compared to the leading group. It wasn’t the start I wanted, but I still remained focused and made up position after position. Alvaro and Toprak, however, were too far away. However, the satisfaction for this result remains: a podium is always a podium“.
