Battlefield 2042 since its release it has not had the success hoped for and according to the co-founder of Respawn and Infinity Ward Zampella wins the reason is clear. Through an interview Zampella declared: “I think we’ve gotten a little too far from what the Battlefield series actually represents“.
“The team tried to do a couple of things that were perhaps ambitious: increase the number of players across all of them, and I don’t think they spent enough time bringing players back to what has made the series fun all these years. It wasn’t inherently a bad idea, but it’s the way the novelties were set up in the game that didn’t allow the team to find a way to make it more manageable.“.
As we know in May of this year, DICE patched the 128-player Breakthrough playlist, leaving the team to focus on other modes.
Season 2 of Battlefield 2042 was launched in August and for the occasion the development team has outlined all the news that players will be able to discover.
