Helsinki Seagulls lost 85–90 in the Korisliiga at home to Kouvo in Kouvola.
With their victory, Kouvot widened the gap between the teams by two and three places in the league table. The Helsinki team has now lost four matches to the tube.
Seagulls got a Ukrainian in his ranks a week ago Ivan Tkachenko, which the club sought to help in the midst of the Karma war situation in Ukraine. The 24-year-old backman arrived in Helsinki from the city of Cherkasy, where he played in the main series of his homeland.

Kouvoja against Tkachenko made his debut in his new team. Blue-yellow flags fluttered on the light boards of Töölö Race Hall when the Ukrainian national team leader was announced on the field.
Tkachenko arrived on the field to get the wildest applause of the evening and some of the spectators applauded him while standing. It was easy for the audience to identify their new favorite player on the hardwood floor, as he wore bright pink basketball shoes.
The Ukrainian did not make a dazzling first impression, but ignited the audience in the second installment by serving a magnificent no-lookfeed Zaccheus to Darko-Kelly and fighting the huge center of Kouvo Hannes Pöllän under the basket.

After half-time, Tkachenko continued to defend himself LeBron James. He was chasing Isiah Osbornen caught up and, in keeping with the NBA superstar, appeared to block this throw from scratch.
Five points, two assists and eight rebounds were finally recorded as statistics for the Ukrainian.
After the game, young Seagulls supporters besieged Tkachenko and asked him for autographs and co-images. Smiling Tkachenko gladly agreed to the requests.
Their first appearance in front of the Helsinki audience was also an American backdoor Seth Allen. Already on Friday, as a guest of Pyrinto, the skilled Allen rushed a big pile of baskets and feeds, and still conjured a whopping 25 points.
