The HBA-Märsky boys’ team may face FC Barcelona and TsSKA Moscow in March.
Mäkelänrinne the boys’ high school basketball academy, the HBA-Märsky team, will be able to measure their level against the tops in Europe in March, as the team was selected for the Euroleague Next Generation tournament.
HBA-Märsky will play in the block, which will be held on 25-27. March in Patras, Greece. There are six other European club teams involved, as well as one team from other talents on the continent.

Teams is divided into four blocks, followed by a ranking match after three block games. The winners of each tournament will advance to the final tournament in Berlin at the end of May, to which three wild card teams as well as one combination team from other talents will also be invited.
Potential opponents of the HBA-Märsky include FC Barcelona, TsSKA Moscow, Maccabi Tel Aviv and Olympiakos.
In everyday life, HBA-Märsky plays in the men’s first division A-series. It is currently ninth in the 12-team series after winning two of seven matches.
Former HBA players include, among others Lauri Markkanen, Elias Valtonen and Mikael Jantunen.
