The green pass from today, December 6, is required to get on the bus and metro. The new rules come into force throughout Italy, based on the decree that also establishes the Super green pass. From today, the simple certificate – which is obtained with a negative, molecular (valid 72 hours) or rapid (48 hours) swab – is used to enter to enter the subway, get on buses and take regional trains.
The only exemptions will concern subjects under the age of 12 and subjects exempted from the vaccination campaign. To travel locally, therefore, you do not need the Super green pass – issued to vaccinated and recovered people – or during the holidays (i.e. from 6 December to 15 January, the period during which the Green Pass is also required, also strengthened in the white area for services such as the cinema and restaurant) nor subsequently.
Green pass always and still mandatory also for medium and long distance vehicles (airplanes, ships, Intercity and High Speed trains, cable cars, cable cars, ski lifts). The simple Green Certification in the white and yellow areas is therefore sufficient for the entire railway network and for public transport. In the orange zone you will need the Super green pass – as illustrated by the government Faq – to get on airplanes, trains, ships and ferries, buses and scheduled coaches that connect more than two regions.
