Four Vimpelin Veto, who played in the men’s WC bronze matches last season, returns to the final level in Superpesis. Veto nuiji, who won the regular season, won 3–0 in the semi-finals of the Joensuu Maila.
In the third meeting on Friday, the hosts of Saarikent won 2–0 (5–4, 8–1).
“In the second game, we needed a lot of effort, and today, too, in the opening period. We were better than JoMa specifically in the indoor game. The outside game must be improved during the week for the finals,” emphasized Veto’s game manager with a background in Sotkamo Tomi Niskanen.
“Everything was tried, but the people from Vimpiel have raised a really tough team of their own. We at Joensuu have a lot to learn from that. I’ll probably have to pick some grapes on Saturday,” admitted JoMa’s game director Mikko Huotarihe also grew up in Sotkamo.

The second keeper who made three saves in outings stood out from JoMa Konsta Kettunen (5/8) and wildcard Wahlsten (4/8) who hit three runs at 50% power.
