The State Amateur Baseball Association (AEBA) granted the municipality of Ahome the venue for the organization of the 2023 First Force State Championship.
The president of the AEBA, Fernando “Güero” Hernández, informed the general director of the Municipal Institute of Sports of Ahome, Felipe Juárez Soto, the granting of the venue to the municipality of the north of the state for the celebration of the tournament of the maximum category of Sinaloa amateur ball.
“We are very pleased with this news. Rest assured that Ahome will be a worthy host”, said Felipe Juárez after the meeting where the head of the Municipal Baseball Committee, Ricardo Maldonado Islas, and the coordinator of the IMDA municipal sports committees, Mauricio Sánchez Gámez, were also present.
The 2022 edition of the contest will be held next weekend in the municipality of Guasave, in which Ahome will be absent.
The reason is that there is not enough time for the formation of the selection, training stage, uniforms, transportation logistics, among many other details.
The rains recorded in recent weeks delayed the development of the postseason phase of the Clemente Grijalva League, whose final series would coincide with the state event in case the Agricultores de Jahuara do not win by sweep next Sunday against Deportivo Centro Vega de Zaragoza fig tree.
Even if it were the case, they would not give the time for a worthy representation from Ahome.
