Barranquilla will host an event led by women who carry the flag of resilience and with a soccer ball show the world that dreams have no ceiling.

14 women from different parts of Colombia are part of the Colombia preselection that advances their preparation for the First Women's Amputee Soccer World Cup which will be held at the Puerta de Oro, next November, an event organized by the WAFF (World Amputee Football Federation), with the support of the Colombian Amputee Football Federation.

“I am proud to announce that from November 2 to 11, our city will once again host a very important and international sporting and inclusive event. We are happy for the opportunity to host resilient, tireless and luxury athletes who represent more from 12 countries, to compete in the first women's world cup,” said Mayor Alex Char.

The second microcycle for the Colombian warriors will be in Bucaramanga and Medellín, in May. In total five, which the national team will develop before the World Cup.
