Both Barça and Real Madrid are very attentive to this series of players who could arrive free next summer. Real Madrid with the intention of repeating the formula of David Alaba and Barcelona because they know that it is their only means to be able to hire great players in the short term.
The Catalan club already did it this summer with the arrival of Memphis Depay, Sergio Agüero or Eric García, players who are looking important in these first months of the championship.
In front of them is a PSG that has also shown interest in both footballers, but above all in Franck Kessié. The Ivorian would welcome his arrival at the Parisian team, which is the club that would be willing to offer him a higher salary. The current Milan player has rejected a proposal from the Italian team that amounted to 6.5 million euros per year.
At Real Madrid the number one target is Antonio Rüdiger, who could be offered a three-year contract earning 12 million per season. Same salary offered to David Alaba, with the intention that his partner of central holders is in the same salary bracket.
The main problem for Real Madrid when it comes to incorporating the German central defender is Thomas Tuchel’s conviction of getting his renewal. The German is currently quite comfortable in the blues, but who knows if he is in need of a change of scene.
Neither footballer would fit too well with Barça’s philosophy, but considering that it is feasible for Ronald Koeman to continue leading the team, anything is possible. The Dutch coach likes to have this type of player in the center of the field, because saving the distances, he already tried to incorporate Gini Wijnaldum this summer. Kessié is a more defensive footballer and much less fine than the Dutchman and plays in a position where right now Busquets, Pedri, Nico, Gavi or Frenkie de Jong would be ahead of him.
