In these national holidays many activities will be suspended, so if you had in mind to go to the bank to make a payment or some other operation, we remind you that the branches operating in the country will not open its doors this September 16 due to the celebration of the Mexico’s independence ; however, you will be able to carry out scheduled operations the next business day.
The National Baking and Stock Commission (CNBV) published in the Official Journal of the Federation the days when credit institutions must close their doors and suspend operations during 2021 and this year will be the September 16, one of the holidays.
However, banking services will remain in operation through ATMs, the network of banking correspondents; as well as digital banking, electronic and telephone banking, which operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
In this regard, the Association of Banks of Mexico (ABM) recalled in a statement to the bank customers who have more than 56 thousand ATMs at their disposal and 49 thousand bank co-managers.
In addition, some banks that offer their services within commercial warehouses and supermarkets will open to the public at the hours they have operated in recent weeks.
Remember that the Law for Transparency and Organization of Financial Services establishes that, in the event that the deadline for a payment corresponds to a non-business day, it may be made on the following business day.
