Ballottaggio Turin, the exit polls: the projections of the municipal results
In Turin they voted for the run-off for the municipal elections: here are the results according to the first exit poll projections, published immediately after the closing of the polls at 3 pm.
3.00 pm – Instant Poll Sky: Lo Russo ahead – According to the YouTrend snapshots for Sky, the center-left candidate, Stefano Lo Russo, is clearly ahead of the center-right candidate, Paolo Damilano. Lo Russo is credited between 53 and 57% against 43-47% of Damilano.
The candidates
Challenging for the seat of mayor are Stefano Lo Russo, a candidate of the center-left, and Paolo Damilano, an aspiring mayor of the center-right.
The two reached the ballot after the results of the first round which obviously did not see any candidate reach 50% plus one of the consents.
To the first round, the most voted candidate was Stefano Lo Russo, who obtained 43.86%, equal to 140,200 votes. Damilano, on the other hand, gained 124,347 votes, which made him come second with 38.90% of the votes.
A disappointing result, however, for the candidate for mayor of the M5S, Valentina Sganga, who obtained only 28,785 votes, finishing third with 9.01%, far from the other two candidates.
