Bagnaia, here's the renewal
It had been done for several days, but today the official announcement also arrived: Francesco Bagnaia he will also be a rider for the Ducati Factory team in the 2025 and 2026 seasons, after having renewed a contract which theoretically expired at the end of the year but for which there was never any rush, such was the mutual intention to continue the relationship.
Dall'Igna's words
The “technical leader” of Ducati, the General Director Luigi Dall'Ignaexplained the importance of Bagnaia's renewal: “We are extremely happy to have him with us also for 2025 and 2026. Together we wrote an important page in the history of motorcycling: Pecco was the first Italian rider to win a world title in MotoGP with an Italian motorcycle, our Desmosedici GP. Together we brought back to Bologna a world drivers' title that had been missing for 15 years and we achieved it again last year. He is a two-time World Champion and on more than one occasion he demonstrated that he truly deserves the number 1 on the fairing of his bike“.
“In addition to these results, Bagnaia continues to demonstrate that he is in perfect harmony with his bike and his team. For all these reasons, it was natural for us to want to continue with him. We therefore look forward to starting this new chapter together, confident that we can achieve other important goals”, concluded Dall'Igna.
