Ducati, a sweet problem
Abundance can be a problem. The Brazilians know this well, as in the national football team (and not only) they have repeatedly paid for the wealth of offensive talent with the inability to express team play, and even in motorsport there are examples of how too many cocks in the henhouse can do damage. Will this be the case with Ducati in 2025? The general director Gigi Dall’Igna he knows he has the best bike and now also the best riders, but he also knows that teams – fortunately – are not the algebraic sum of individual talent.
The Venetian engineer, after having brought Marc Marquez in the Factory team alongside Francesco Bagnaia starting in 2025, it will face a sweet problem of abundance. A problem that worries him but that he is ready to handle.
Dall’Igna’s words
“Instead, I am more worried about sports management: the climate currently experienced in the Ducati team is wonderful, the goal is to continue to have it also next year. Bagnaia has already shown what he is capable of, he does fantastic things on the bike, he is our flagship, we signed a renewal with him before the start of the World Championship“, these are his words to Sky Sports MotoGP.
“From the point of view of the development of the bike I’m not worried: We have our philosophy, we don’t look at a single rider but we take into account all the riders when it comes to the development of the bike, and Marquez is already helping us this year“.
