The first comments
In the first glimpses of this 2024, in fact, the first to have given concrete indications on the potential of the Desmosedici GP was the test driver from Puglia, who also had the opportunity to try the new components: “During these three days of shakedown we carried out a good part of the development – has explained – the first day was completely dry, while on the following two days there was a downpour towards the end of the day, but overall we managed to make good use of the time available to us. The particular hot conditions of Sepang allowed us to carry out targeted tests. Furthermore, we have tested the new aerodynamic packagetried the new engine and laid out a good working basis for the three days of testing that the official riders will now have to face. The start was positive and we are satisfied. Now we will try to continue in this direction.”
Riding the Desmosedici GP
A work that paves the way for the sessions that await Bagnaiapumped to start again at high levels with the aim of defending the title won last year at the last race after a long fight with Jorge Martin: “I missed my Desmosedici GP this winter break – He admitted – therefore, I am really happy to finally be back on track in Sepang for the first test of 2024. The last test in Valencia last year had given positive results and Michele has already carried out part of the work in these three days; I expect to find a good basis on which to continue the development of the new bike. Three challenging, but also very important, days await us. We hope that the weather will allow us to make full use of all the time at our disposal.”
Confidence after training
The Malaysian morning will kick off eight hours of non-stop practice in which he will also participate Bastianinion his first seasonal outing after winter training: “I'm really happy to start again – he added – during the winter I worked hard to be able to get back to 100% physically before the Sepang test. Last week I was also in Portimão together with other Ducati riders to train with my Panigale V4S and now I'm really ready! In the Valencia test I had positive feedback and I liked the new bike straight away. We'll try some new things here, but overall I'm confident. They will be three very important days and I will give my best effort.”
