Flood Belgium, after Germany also the heart of the EU in the crosshairs of bad weather: floods in Wallonia
Continue the wave of bad weather which for several days has been bringing the heart of Europe to its knees: torrential rains, unprecedented floods, gusts of wind and flooding are rampant on the territory. From Switzerland to the Netherlands, from Germany to Belgium, extreme events do not spare anyone. Thanks also to climate change and the extreme heat of recent times, temperatures now seem to have returned to autumnal levels: a March, which has become July, a bit crazy.
In particular in Belgium, in the Wallonia region, a large number of rivers overflowed, causing floods and inconvenience in the resort of Spa. Hundreds of people, inhabitants of the area, were forced to evacuate. The body of a man was discovered in the Meuse near a lock in the town of Profondeville, south of Namur, local media reported. Even the governor of the province of Namur, due to the heavy floods, launched the state of crisis in the area.

Only this morning the news of the terrible bad weather which knocked out the town of Shuld, in the Koblenz region, west of Germany. Heavy rains and floods have resulted in flooding of waterways, flooding of roads and buildings, and uprooting of trees. Several houses were completely submerged by water. An extreme event for the territory which, according to the updated balance sheet, caused more than 50 missing and several deaths.
