During the last five years, Nintendo has carried out one of its now classic virtual presentations in February. In this way, many are looking forward to the 2024 event. Although at the moment there is no official information, a very important detail was recently revealed that could disappoint more than one person, since The next Nintendo Direct would be focused on third-party developers.
According to Nate the Hate podcast, which focuses on covering video game news, the next Nintendo Direct would be a Partners Direct, that is, it would be focused entirely on third-party games that would arrive on the Switch in the coming months. This means that first party announcements, such as the release date of Metroid Prime 4they would not be part of this month's presentation. This is what was said about it:
“I'm going to the first Nintendo Direct of this year with the expectation that it will be a Partner Direct. “I don't think Nintendo will organize a general Direct this February, I think they will do it from third parties instead.”
Of course, at the moment there is no official information from Nintendo that confirms or denies this rumor. Likewise, in the event that the following presentation is a Partners Direct, The possibility that the Big N has a couple of personal announcements planned has not been ruled out. In this case, we can only wait for more official details to be released.
If the next Nintendo Direct focuses on third party games, We'll probably see more information about some of the projects companies like Square Enix are working on.. Although there is not much information about it, we know that titles like Hollow Knight: Silksing, Rift of the Necrodancer, Contra: Operation Galuga, Unicorn Overlord and more experiences are in development for the Switch.
We can only wait for Nintendo to announce its next Direct. On related topics, this is how Nintendo overcomes the generational transition. Likewise, president of Nintendo talks about Palworld.
Editor's Note:
Although this is not the presentation that many want to see, it is something that will keep the Switch active in the coming months, and there is always the possibility of being surprised with new titles, as well as ports that no one thought possible. However, I also understand if someone is disappointed not to see much more important announcements.
