During the second quarter of the year, Bachoco reached net sales of 20 thousand 860 million pesos, 27 percent more than the same period of the previous year.
According to your financial report sent to the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV), the figure was boosted by a 40.5 percent increase in the Mexican market, which offset a 3.3 percent drop in the United States.
“During this quarter we continued to observe a good balance between supply and demand, and although costs increased significantly compared to last year, thanks to our focus on efficiencies, we managed to obtain good results in our second quarter of 2021”, said Rodolfo Ramos Arvizu, General manager of the company.
The company indicated that, regarding its cost of sales, the prices of raw materials continue to be high in dollar terms, experiencing a 16 percent higher total cost of sales compared to the same quarter in 2020.
“We remain focused on efficiently carrying out all our processes, which will allow us to supply our markets and customers in the best way, as we have done over the years,” added the manager.
In the period, the Poultry Division reported an increase of 22.8 percent; meanwhile, the Others segment grew 64.5 percent.
