For now, there are very few online reviews of Babylon’s Fall, PlayStation exclusive, because Square Enix did not send the review codes to the various editors. The reason for this choice appears quite clear from first grades received from the game which, except in one case, speak of a disaster such as not to honor the name of PlatinumGames.
The Beta Network tells of a combat system weak and of a mediocre technical side, for a game full of microtransactions. The final grade is a resounding 5/10. Infinite Start rejects it with a 4/10 making a long list of faults: the story is from a B-movie, the graphics are below contemporary standards, the overall design has many questionable choices, aiming is frustrating, the costs of crafting are too high and make the system a luxury more than a possibility, the levels are linear and uninteresting, the bosses are too difficult for lone players and so on and so forth.
The most critical review, however, is that of The Gamer who ditched Babylon’s Fall with one out of five stars, stating that it is aesthetically hideous and that it has boring missions and history. To be saved is only a few fights, which in any case do not improve the general picture too much.
The only positive review is that of Gamer Heroes, who promoted it with an 8/10, with the editor who, however, spoke of terrible moments, compensated by others in which he was ecstatic.
Also very critical Steam reviewsin which users have emphasized the massive presence of very invasive microtransactions, considered intolerable for a premium title.
Before leaving, we remind you that Baylon’s Fall is available for PC, PS5 and PS4.
