Ayuso will take the Sánchez Agreement with Junts to the EU that distributes immigrants

The head of the Madrid Executive has fled the direct confrontation with Catalonia in this controversy, and her message begins on social networks pointing out that “neither Catalonia, nor Madrid, nor Canary Islands”, referring to different Spanish territories affected by this procedure and also by the arrival of immigrants irregularly.

The Madrid president understands that “you cannot promote massive irregular immigration”, which is what he believes is done with this “unfortunate agreement.” He then reports that “the EU will be taken to court, which must understand that Sánchez’s immigration policy is a ballast to all: for Spain, for Europe, and for the immigrants themselves, in the hands of mafias.”

Díaz Ayuso regrets that this behavior assumes that “these children of political weapon are used. They pay and every city where they are sent heartless ».

According to the latest known official data, in the first six months of 2024, the Community of Madrid attended more than 1,200 unaccompanied minors, almost as many as the previous year, and a similar figure was expected until the end of the year. A figure that already exceeded both regional and government forecasts, which Madrid has repeatedly accused not collaborating enough in financing or planning.

In the regional government they are concerned about a issue that they consider very delicate, having minors involved. They do not want it to become the subject of confrontation with other communities, as they have not wanted another issue to be those killed in residences during the pandemic, where from Madrid the criticisms of the opposition are never refuted by arguing what happened in other territories. Moreover, Madrid’s politicians are hurt that the central government, which “should be the one who coordinates this, is facing the communities” both in migration and in financing or taxes.

The legal services of the Community of Madrid are still studying what the legal formula in which their complaint will materialize will be materialized, both at Spanish and European judicial instances. But they leave no doubt: they will give the battle and ask the European Union.

From the PSOE, the Secretary General Madrid and Minister, Óscar López, has not taken to launch his assessment through social networks, which is a hard criticism against Ayuso, which he calls Xenophobic and EFAA that “the minor refugees who come from Ukraine do not bother him but those who come from the Canary Islands.”

Almost half of the Menas who arrived last year to the Community of Madrid, according to data from the Ministry of Social Affairs directed by Ana Dávila, did so through the Barajas airport. They took advantage of scales to stay in Madrid, and when they were intercepted they derived directly to the social services of the community, which take care of them during the time they stay in the centers.

The community had a budget of 40 million euros in 2024 to take care of all these unaccompanied minors and their needs. But they are not the only ones: the Ministry denounced that in the adult irregular immigrants camps that the central government opened in Alcalá de Henares and Carabanchel, at least 150 minors had appeared.
