According to the document, compulsory vaccination will apply to all Austrian citizens from February next year. The fine for refusing to be vaccinated will be € 3,600, and refusal to pay it will face four months in prison. At the same time, for those who twice ignore the notification of the authorities about the need to get vaccinated, the penalty will increase to € 7,200.
The draft states that an exception will be made by citizens, for whose life and health there is a risk due to vaccination. This also applies to pregnant women and children under 12 years of age.
