Waiting to understand how the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, more and more car manufacturers are forced to take steps to limit damage and losses. Often this materializes in production stops, sometimes even prolonged ones. And it was precisely the interruption in production that forced Audi to decide to stop taking orders for its own plug-in hybrid models in Europe: starting from March 10, in fact, the car manufacturer with the four rings will no longer accept reservations for its hybrid cars on tap due to problems related to the supply chain.
Speaking to the German weekly Automobilewoche, an Audi spokesperson said: “Due to the high demand and some restrictions caused by the supply situationthe production volume is already sold out for the Audi PHEV models for 2022 ″. Less than a week then, and orders for plug-in hybrid models from the four-ring house in Europe will no longer be accepted. To understand whether this decision will also affect other markets at a global level, such as the US: to date Audi has preferred not to expose itself on this front. However, the stop to orders for PHEV models is not the only decision taken by the German company: according to what reported by Autonews, in fact, Audi it will also suspend production of the A4 and A5 models from 7 to 11 March and of the A6 and A7 from 7 to 18 March.
