The Audi Q5 E-Tron, closely related to the Volkswagen ID.6, is a seven-seat electric SUV.
Audi’s electric SUV family welcomes a new member. After all, images have surfaced on the website of the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Transport of the new Audi Q5 E-Tron, an electric SUV that builds on the modular MEB platform of the Volkswagen group. It is a seven-seater with a length of 4.88 meters, the wheelbase is 2.97 meters. Just as is the case with VW ID.6, with which this Audi Q5 E-Tron shares its foundations. The range will have three engine variants:
- Audi Q5 E-Tron 35: an electric motor, rear-wheel drive, 177 hp
- Audi Q5 40 E-Tron 40: an electric motor, rear-wheel drive, 204 hp
- Audi Q5 50 E-Tron 50 Quattro: two electric motors, four-wheel drive, 299 hp
The Audi Q5 E-Tron is not coming to Europe, the electric SUV is sold in China as an alternative to our Q4 E-Tron – which is not available in the People’s Republic. Ingolstadt is working on the Audi Q6 E-Tron, which will replace the current E-Tron and will therefore be available in Europe. It will be on the new PPE architecture, just like the electric Porsche Macan that is expected in 2022.
