Spain’s No. 2 tennis player Rafael Nadal of Spain has made it to the semi-finals of the ATP Finals. In the tournament being played in London, Nadal beat defending champion Stephanos Sitsipas of Greece to enter the final 4. Nadal defeated Satsipas 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 on Thursday. The match lasted for two hours and five minutes.
The ATP website quoted Nadal as saying, “reaching the semi-finals, that too in the last tournament of the year, is a very important thing. I am very happy with it and am ready to play with Medvedev in the semi-finals.
Last year, Nadal defeated Sitisipas in the final round robin match, but the left-hander was still out. He said, ‘Like last year, I have won two matches this time too. Last year I was a little unfortunate that I could not make it to the semi-finals. It is very difficult to play against the best players here every day. Most of the time you get tired, but this year is quite difficult. Hopefully I am ready to give my best. ‘
