Around minute 11, the leopards recovered the ball in the rival field and there Fabián Sambueza made a cross to look for Ponce again, but this time the player connected with the ball that barely passed by one side of the goal of Harlen Castillo.
In the 25th minute, Sambueza handled the ball in the opponent’s half and then filtered it in a great way to Esneyder Mena who shot with his right foot and the ball barely went past the side of the Verdolaga goal.
Before the end of this half, Bucaramanga would have another very clear chance in a play in which Fabry Castro, Jiménez and Mena combined and the latter took a powerful shot that ‘Chipi Chipi’ saved towards the corner kick.

In the 66th minute, Ponce had another chance for Bucaramanga in a cross from Sambueza that he connected with a header, but his shot went wide.
With the same set-piece formula, Bucaramanga, who already deserved it, went ahead on the scoreboard thanks to Fabry Castro connected completely with a cross from Sambueza from the right and sent it in.
Around 79′, Nacional had its second chance in the entire game with Pablo Ceppelini who tried to put it in the corner with a free kick, but his shot went too high.
In the extra time, the visitors had their first shot on goal in a play in which Marino Hinestroza sent a cross from the right and then Ceppelini shot with his right foot into Quintana’s hands. A few minutes later, the Bucaramanga goalkeeper became a star as he saved Nacional’s clearest chance, which was an accurate header from Aguirre after a cross from Ceppelini that Quintana saved in a great way.
With this result, Bucaramanga entered the race to enter the top eight and reached tenth place in the table with 13 points while Nacional remained in sixth place with 16.
