The Olympic walking champion stopped by a hip inflammation. The group includes Stano and Tortu
101 athletes (54 men and 47 women) will represent Italy at the next European Athletics Championships, scheduled in Munich from Monday 15 to Sunday 21 August. In the list drawn up by the technical director Antonio La Torre, the names of Marcell Jacobs and Gianmarco Tamberi stand out, both gold at the Tokyo Olympics last year, respectively in the 100 meters and in the high jump, but still in doubt for Monaco due to some physical problems. Antonella Palmisano, Olympic champion in the 20 km walk, already forced to miss Eugene’s World Championships due to hip inflammation, will certainly not be there.
