New Delhi The Civil Services Examination of the Union Public Service Commission (UPAC) is included in the toughest competition examinations in the country. Athar Aamir-ul-Shafi Khan, who hails from Jammu and Kashmir, secured the second position in 2016 in this examination. Athar achieved this feat at the age of just 23.
Athar is a resident of Devipura-Mattan village in Anantnag district in Jammu and Kashmir. Athar passed the 12th examination from the school in Srinagar and after that he succeeded in the IIT Editions. After IIT, he refused to go to civil service and for this, he consulted Shah Faisal, who hails from Kashmir and topped UPAC in 2009.
Second in second rank
Athar Aamir secured the UPAC second rank in the second year. In the first attempt, he got the Indian Railway Traffic Service, which had to be re-prepared along with joining. Athar had said after his success that he used to read at least 2 newspapers daily. This gave an opportunity to stay updated in daily life and they used to keep a note of every day updates.
Inspiration from farmer grandfather
Athar is the first member of his family to clear the IAS exam. His father is a lecturer in a college in Anantnag. Athar’s grandfather has been his source of inspiration, who has been a farmer.
Tina Dabi married in 2018
After training of IAS, Athar got Rajasthan cadre. In the year 2018, Athar Aamir ul Shafi Khan married Tina Tina. Tina had topped the Civil Services Examination while Athar, a resident of Jammu and Kashmir, got the second position in the same examination. Tina also got Rajasthan cadre. Now information about their divorce has come out with their consent.
