Known for the character “Seu Peru”, from the “Escola do Professor Raimundo”, the actor, comedian and voice actor Orlando Drummond passed away this Tuesday (27). He is 101 years old and leaves behind two children, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The artist had been hospitalized since May at the Quinta D’Or hospital, in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro, to treat a urinary infection. The family was informing fans about Drummond’s health status through social media.
As a voice actor, Orlando entered the Guinness Book, the record book, for voicing the character Scooby Doo for over 35 years. As an actor, “Seu Peru” has been a recurring character on Escolinha since the first version of the 1990 program.
