Highland Park Police (Illinois, USA) are investigating a shooting during the July 4 parade in Highland Park, a town of 30,000 inhabitants near Chicago. So far there are five dead and at least 16 people injured, according to the local newspaper ‘The Chicago Sun-Times’.
According to this medium, an armed man began shooting ten minutes after the Independence Day parade, a national holiday in the United States, began. A witness has reported that “more than twenty shots were fired in quick succession”. The party has been suddenly interrupted and hundreds of people have run for safety.
