At least 16 people have been taken to hospital, four of them in serious condition, after a truck ran over a group of pedestrians waiting near a bus stop in Glilot, north of Tel Aviv, according to the Israeli emergency service Magen David Adom (MDA).
“We are treating the incident as a terrorist attack in which a truck accelerated towards a group of people,” said police spokesman Arye Doron, who points out that the events are being investigated and that civilians shot and killed the alleged attacker.
