After a long wait ASUS has finally officially presented the new Vivobook S 15 equipped with the Snapdragon X Elite processor.
In recent days the laptop has been the protagonist of some leaks which have been confirmed in today’s announcement: Vivobook S 15 OLED it is in fact among the first portable devices to bring the new Qualcomm SoC and many features related to artificial intelligence, starting from the Copilot button integrated on the keyboard. OLED display and artificial intelligence
The new ASUS Vivobook S 15 is one of the first laptops to bring the Snapdragon X Elite SoC by Qualcomm and is therefore preparing to compete directly with MacBook Pros equipped with M3 thanks to the 45 W maximum TDP and the 45 TOPs offered by the integrated Hexagon NPU.
The Qualcomm processor is equipped with 12 cores and 12 threads and is capable of reaching a maximum frequency of 3.4 GHz, all accompanied by the Adreno GPU, with a maximum of 32 GB of LPDDR5X 8448 MHz RAM and up to 1TB of SSD storage with PCIe 4.0 support.
The ASUS Lumina OLED display 15.6-inch model offers a resolution of 2880 x 1620 pixels with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and peak brightness of up to 600 nits with HDR support, while the Harman/Kardon audio system supports Dolby Atmos. On the connectivity front, Vivobook S 15 supports WiFi 7 up to 5.8 Gbps and Bluetooth 5.4 thanks to the system Qualcomm’s FastConnect 7800. There are also many ports available: two USB 4, two USB 3.2 Typa-A gen 1, one HDMI 2.1, 3.5 mm audio jack and MicroSD reader.
Finally, there is the AiSense IR camera with improved face detection capabilities, while on the autonomy side, the 70 Wh battery promises up to 18 hours of use with quick charging.
The new ASUS Vivobook S 15 will also be available in the configuration with SoC Snapdragon X Plus 10 cores.

Thin and light
From the point of view of dimensions, the new Vivobook comes with a thickness of just 14.7 millimeters and a total weight of 1.42 kg, showing off a thin profile and a rather minimal design, favored by the cooling system ASUS IceCool Thermal Technology.
The display is surrounded by a very thin frame which allows for a screen/body ratio of 89%.
The version with Snapdragon X Elite and 32 GB of RAM starts from 1399 Euros: Vivobook S 15 OLED can already be pre-ordered on the official website, while the release is set for June 19th.
