Like others, ASUS has also taken advantage of the arrival of the AMD X570S chipset to update its offer of motherboards for AMD Ryzen processors, but it has not limited itself to renewing only the dissipation of the chipset, now passively cooled. New features include revamped design, Dynamic OC Switcher automatic overclocking and Thunderbolt 4 ports for flagship models, plus WiFi 6E connectivity on all four upgraded models: the ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Extreme, the ASUS ROG Strix X570-E Gaming WiFi II, the ASUS TUF Gaming X570 Pro WiFi II and the ASUS ProArt X570-Creator WiFi.
Although the new ASUS models do not adopt the nomenclature X570S, enjoy the efficiency improvement of the revision of the AMD chipset, revised to eliminate the fan present instead in the first models of the X570 series. In addition, the novelties of the revised models from ASUS include BIOS FlashBack to update the system even without the CPU, as well as M.2 Q-Latch, new RGB LED effects and a renewed design, at least for the top models.
There ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Extreme, available at the recommended price of 963 euros, features a massive 18 + 2-phase VRM, the most impressive ever on an ASUS X570, which boasts 90-amp phases and massive cooling so you can push CPUs like the AMD Ryzen 5950X to the max. There is also the 2-inch OLED LiveDash mini screen to consult statistics and debug as well as counting 5 M.2 slots, all PCIe 4.0, 2 Thunderbolt 4 ports, 10 Gbps and 2.5 Gbps Ethernet ports. Finally, it can enjoy the aforementioned support for the new Dynamic OC Switcher automatic overclocking technology that leverages the PBO to push frequencies further.
Also there ASUS ProArt X570-Creator WiFi, available at the recommended price of 467 euros, has 2 Thunderbolt 4 ports, a 10 Gbps port and a 2.5 Gbps port, looking specifically at creators of all kinds, from 3D artists to software developers. Hence a certain attention also to aesthetics that exploits the contrast between the copper inserts and the black color to guarantee a look capable of attracting attention but at the same time elegant. But from a professional perspective, the ProArt Creator Hub is undoubtedly more important, which allows users to optimize the system and color calibration in combination with compatible monitors.
There ASUS ROG Strix X570-E Gaming WIFI II, available at the recommended price of € 453.00, is faithful to the previous model and promises to fully exploit all AMD Ryzen CPUs in a gaming perspective thanks to a 12 + 4 phase power supply with 8 + 4 pin ProCool II auxiliary connectors. Additionally, like the high-end ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Extreme, it can leverage Dynamic OC Switcher technology that promises to push the processor to the max, no matter the workload. There are also integrated debug LEDs, Q-Code display, ROG SupremeFX S1220A audio chip, OptiMem II and, as anticipated, WiFi 6E, in parallel with two Ethernet ports, one 2.5 Gbps and one Gigabit standard.
To close there is the ASUS TUF Gaming X570-Pro WiFi II, cheaper and available at the recommended price of 327.00 euros, which, like the standard model and the whole line to which it belongs, promises sturdiness and reliability, thanks to the VRM DrMOS 12 + 2 with 8 + 4 pin ProCool auxiliary power connectors. All accompanied by double M.2 PCIe 4.0 slots, Q-Latch to fix the SSD and WiFi 6E drives like the previous models. In this case the Ethernet port is only one, but it is 2.5 Gbps and is more than enough for most users interested in a motherboard of this type.
