Aston Martin is a steamroller on the market. Lawrence Stroll is not wasting time in reinforcing the staff with important figures: Mark White will be the new director of operations in the Silverstone team from 1 September.
White joins the British brand after spending over 27 years at Honda in top management roles in planning, production control and quality control. During his experience with the Japanese giant he was also at the helm of Synchro Motorsport, the Honda team based in Great Britain.
Mark will report directly to Bob Halliwell who will assume the position of Chief Operating Officer, while up to now he was the production manager.
Satisfied team principal, Otmar Szafnauer: “The arrival of Mark White will add valuable skills in managing the factory. His automotive experience will be particularly useful in cost control with the budget cap fully operational. Obviously there will be a commitment to improve the quality and efficiency in our production systems. It is yet another demonstration of our desire to strengthen the team in all areas “.
White is the fourth top technical figure after Luca Furbatto (who left Alfa Romeo) and the aerodynamic pair of Red Bull, Dan Fallows and Andrew Alessi.
The new purchase is very motivated: “I was extremely impressed by the passion that exists in those who lead the team and we have a roadmap in front of us that also includes the construction of the new factory, which should make us a very competitive team in the coming years” .
