This model is the new reference within its range and takes Aston Martin to the pinnacle of SUV performance with a unique 4.0-litre V8 engine developed by Aston Martin to deliver 707PS and 900Nm.
The new DBX707 is a unique SUV. This model takes Aston Martin to the top of its lineup with a unique combination of impressive performance, sublime aerodynamics, unmistakable style and sheer luxury. Full of character and compelling capability, its design makes the DBX707 the ultimate SUV in every respect. The manufacture of this Aston Martin will begin during the first quarter of 2022 and the first deliveries will be made to
beginning of the second quarter of 2022.
This model is the fastest and most powerful, as well as the one that offers the best maneuvering control. The DBX707 was conceived to stand out for these three traits, not looking to beat the benchmark, but doing so on its own terms and in unrivaled form. For Aston Martin, this meant ensuring certain nuances that go beyond mere numbers; that is, power and speed never seen before, accompanied by exceptional precision, dynamic styling and a true commitment to an addictive, impressive and unique driving experience. A precious stone among a pile of rocks.
Taking as its starting point the famous design, aerodynamics and pleasant driving experience of the DBX V8 model, the new DBX707 gives a brilliant new dimension to these genuinely sporty attributes. All parts of the vehicle have been upgraded to optimize performance and make driving even more enjoyable for a dazzling presence on the road.
Starting with the powertrain, the Aston Martin engineering team set out to harness the full potential of the DBX’s 4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine. With Ralph Illenberger, Aston Martin’s Head of Powertrain Engineering, the DBX707’s engine now includes ball-bearing turbochargers and a special engine calibration for increased power delivery. Another novelty presented by the new DBX707 is the nine-speed automatic gearbox with wet clutch. This high-performance gearbox is capable of handling much higher torque loads than a standard automatic gearbox with a torque converter and allows engine power to be increased to 707 hp and 900 Nm, which represents an increase of 157 hp and 200 Nm. N m compared to DBX (V8).
The integration of the new change with wet clutch also brings other advantages, the most obvious being the gear changes, which are much faster compared to the change with torque converter. The shifting offers a more immediate and direct feel, giving the driver a greater sense of control and responsiveness. In addition, this entails a marked change in the character of the car compared to its predecessor. Output capability has also been improved, helping the DBX707 accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds.
To highlight the driver-oriented design of this new model, some changes and improvements have also been made to the dynamic driving modes. The ‘Race Start’ function is available in GT, Sport and Sport+ modes, in order to maximize acceleration from the start. Revision of the AWD system’s active transfer case logic improves harmony and control precision between the powertrain and ESP system, resulting in a more natural and sports car-like driving experience .
New features to the front of the DBX include a larger front grille and newly designed daytime running lights, along with new air intakes and brake cooling ducts, as well as new front diffuser profile. The satin-chrome grille, which has been enlarged to significantly increase cooling airflow for the ultra-high-performance V8 engine and new nine-speed transmission, features dual louvers; In addition, the six horizontal bars are now divided for a more visually appealing appearance, making this luxury model immediately identifiable.
The dark satin chrome finish on the window surrounds and the new hood louver vents perfectly match the gloss black front grille and diffuser. The design is continued along the flanks with the gloss black side steps, which now feature a deeper, sharper, more sculpted profile, making the DBX707 appear as though it is practically glued to the ground. It also features soft-closing doors, further enhancing the luxurious finish of this SUV.
The design of the rear is equally impressive. A lip spoiler has been added to the roof spoiler, to reduce aerodynamic lift and increase stability at high speeds, and a significantly larger double rear diffuser, whose design is adapted to the larger diameter of the new four-pipe exhaust system. Featuring a satin black finish that is complemented by the gloss black treatment of the diffuser. This new exhaust system has been tuned to produce a distinctive and unique sound. Finishing off the changes at the rear, the new rear bumper incorporates air intakes in the side panels to accentuate the car’s rugged look.
The sporty character is maintained inside with Sport seats fitted as standard (Comfort seats are available as an option at no extra cost). Both seating options incorporate the electric system with 16 adjustment directions; In addition, they include heating in the front and rear seats as standard. Three interior finishes are available: Accelerate, as standard, with a mix of leather and Alcantara®; and Inspire Comfort and Inspire Sport options, full semi-aniline leather with Aston Martin wings embroidered on the headrest, a contrasting vertical stripe running down the center of the seat, and a perforated pattern on the seat back and base cushion. seat.
The controls inside the car feature a dark chrome finish to match the exterior. The option of a bright chrome finish combined with carbon fiber is also contemplated. Elsewhere, standard cladding panels are Piano Black, with optional carbon fiber or bronze metal mesh panels.
