Assassin’s Creed: Shadows has given a lot to talk about in recent weeks. Following its delay, it appears that public hopes have diminished substantially. Now, A new report has revealed that a cooperative mode is already in development for this title.
According to Insider Gaming, Ubisoft is working on a cooperative mode for Assassin’s Creed: Shadows. The report ensures that this addition began its development before the game’s delay was announced, and will arrive as a post-launch update. In this way, it is made clear that this section was not the reason that caused the delay.
Although Ubisoft has not officially revealed the co-op mode, this would allow two players to take on the roles of Yasuke and Naoe and tour Japan at the same time. This is not the first time something like this has happened. Let us remember that Assassin’s Creed: Unity It also had a great multiplayer section which allows up to four people to join the same game.
We can only wait to see what will happen with this section, and how long we will have to wait for it to reach the base game. We remind you that Assassin’s Creed: Shadows will arrive on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC on February 14, 2025. On related topics, many games in the series would reach the Switch 2. Likewise, Ubisoft offers an apology for this installment.
Author’s Note:
The Assassin’s Creed games are single-player experiences, and while the latest installments have had a social aspect, a cooperative mode I don’t think would work very well in shadows. In the case of Unity, this was the great section of the game, which left more than one disappointed, so I hope that Ubisoft, at least, has a better idea of how to implement multiplayer.
