Ubisoft released a video diary where the development team of Assassin’s Creed Shadows presents i two protagonists of the game, namely the samurai of African origin Yasuke and the shinobi Naoe.
Introduced in the first official trailer for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, the characters have very different characteristicsbut the authors wanted you to be able to experience both, without having to choose a single approach from a narrative point of view.
Yasuke, inspired by a real figurearrives in Japan in 1579 and it is here that the story of Assassin’s Creed Shadows begins, in which we will see the samurai interact with personalities of the caliber of Nobunaga Oda and beyond.
Naoe instead comes from the province of Igaa fiercely independent mountain area which however is stormed by Oda’s troops: the girl, who learned to fight from her father, tries to resist but is defeated just as she meets Yasuke.
Two very different styles
Yasuke and Naoe’s backgrounds and skills make them polar opposite fighterswhich use completely different styles and equipment, as explained in the video by the developers of Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
The first is indeed a samurai who strikes with great forcewhile the second is a fast and silent shinobi, who loves to move in the shadows and use he uses a special version of the Hidden Bladewhich turns during extraction to become a sort of sickle.
It’s about a new formula for the Ubisoft serieswho had already played the dual protagonist card but without these very marked differences: we will discover further details on the gameplay of Assassin’s Creed Shadows in the coming weeks.
As regards the release on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X | S, the French house has set it for November 15th.
