Assassination of the nation state
From the end of the First World War and the emergence of national states in the Arab region, the syndrome of stalking the entity of the state through political Islam groups emerged. Perhaps the follower of the establishment of the “Brotherhood” group in Egypt at the hands of Hassan al-Banna in 1928 will clearly see the reliance of these groups on this methodology, which deals with the state as a direct opponent on an objective consideration.
The national state abolishes the idea of a comprehensive Islamic state, whether it is Sunni or Shiite, both of which aim to abolish the national borders of states, and to establish the state of the caliphate or the imamate according to the sectarian belief of each of the sects.
Political Islam groups have always been and will continue to be active in the vacant spaces with ignorance and the spread of illiteracy, which is what they were aware of early on and sanctified in it their ideas, which consider that the national state, with its constitution, laws and regulations, is an infidel state according to its definition of the concept of democratic and secular systems. The Qur’anic verses have been interpreted and the hadiths of the Prophet, whether authentic or fabricated, were used to suit this approach, which opposes the state in an open opposition that did not stop for a while or subside at any stage.
After the Egyptian revolution of July 23, 1952, the leader Gamal Abdel Nasser fought a frank confrontation not only with the Brotherhood, but with the essence of its creed, as he was decisive in implementing the systems of the national state as the state should be. The state is a homeland for all citizens of all religions and sects. The constitution includes everyone.
At this point, a struggle over national identity began, but the Brotherhood considered their opponent to be the Egyptian homeland, so heinous campaigns appeared to declare the regime atonement and corrupting it, and even reached the point of considering that the setback of June 1967 was a divine punishment inflicted on the system and the state that they see as infidels because, according to their view, they do not They apply the law of God, they see that they are mandated by God over the country and the servants.
Nasser’s campaign against the group’s ideology was counterbalanced by the feigning of oppression. They propagated that the Arab regimes are “repressive dictatorships.” Over the following decades, the group established its concepts and generalized them to all countries, which contributed to the weak general performance politically and economically in a large number of Arab countries, which lived in The syndrome of stalking it until the Islamic awakening appeared and the forces of political Islam were able to impose their dark vision on the peoples and took hold of their minds, thus disrupting the economic wheel and other aspects of the inhibitions established by those forces who believed that with the blowing of the winds of the so-called “Arab Spring”, they could pounce on the authority of the government. The Brotherhood has received severe blows in North African and Southern Arab countries, but it still enjoys its influence alongside other Islamist forces in a number of other countries.
The fact that the weakness of the national state with its national elements is the lever capable of maintaining and fortifying countries has become exposed, which is explained by the political reality that led to the intervention of regional states in the internal affairs of pivotal Arab states such as Iraq, Syria, Libya and northern Yemen, which are countries that suffer from direct regional interference. The more the national state weakens with its Arab depth, the more vulnerable it is to being attacked in it and its political entity.
The Arab eastern gate was demolished as well as the northern gate and almost destroyed the southern gate, had it not been for the vigilance of the UAE, which supported the national forces in Aden, as it supported the glorious revolution of the Egyptian people in June 2013.
The assassination of the nation-state will remain under threat, unless there is a collective political estrangement from all Arab countries, which must completely prevent the currents of political Islam from obtaining opportunities for activity, as these currents cannot entrench themselves in the laws of the state to assassinate the state.
