The small French studio Asobo Studio, has become one of the best valued studios in recent years. Products like A Plague Tale or Microsoft Flight Simulator have consolidated their position in the industry. Now, as a consolidation measure, Asobo Studio opens its capital to Sagard NewGen to preserve “creative autonomy”, thus receiving a small economic boost.
And although many are suggesting that Microsoft fix its sights on the possible acquisition of this French study, they themselves are looking for a way to try to boost their infrastructure to continue developing games that will leave all users speechless. And to be able to continue doing, or to guarantee to be able to do it, this action has been carried out by Sagard NewGen, which is a small French foundation founded with private capital to help French companies.
The participation that has been opened is a minority, and was acquired by 12 founders of Asobo with the purpose of supporting the growth of the study, “While preserving its strategic and creative autonomy.” In the words of the director of operations Gregory Carreau, as well as other members such as Sebastian Wloch or David Dedeine, they show their satisfaction with this support and money received.

Without a doubt, Asobo Studios has grown enough within the industry to be considered a major studio. Important for the talent and work they have done. A Plague Tale or Microsoft Flight Simulator are a good example of what they are capable of doing and many await information about what may come in the future.

For now, they have work with Xbox Game Studios, on the jump from Microsoft Flight Simulator to Xbox consoles, where it seems that there is still hope to see it on Xbox One and not just Xbox Series X / S.
