Asia Argento, one of the first Italian actresses to spearhead the #MeToo movement, publicly denounced Rob Cohen, the American director of the film Fast and Furious, of sexual abuse.
The 45-year-old interpreter gave an interview to the Corriere della Sera newspaper, which was published this Friday, January 23, where she spoke of her terrible experience with Cohen in 2002.
“This is the first time I’ve talked about Cohen. He abused me making me drink GHB, he had a bottle”He declared, referring to a drug commonly used by rapists.
“Back then, I didn’t really know what it was. I woke up in the morning naked in his bed, ”she added.
Likewise, Asia Argento, who in 2017 declared that the American producer Harvey Weinstein raped her in 1997, when she was 21 years old, pointed out that the sexual abuse occurred at the time she was acting in the movie xXx directed by Rob Cohen, along with Vin Diesel and Samuel L. Jackson.
Given this, the representative of the director of Fast and Furious denied the public accusation made by Asia Argento.
“Mr. Cohen categorically denies the completely false accusation of sexual assault made against him by Asia Argento“Said the spokesman in a statement sent to AFP.
“When they worked together they had a great working relationship and Cohen considered her a friend, so this 2002 allegation is puzzling, especially when you consider what has been said about her in recent years,” he added.
