Giuseppe Giofrè published his first book “Stidda – the courage of a dream” and in the interview he talks about his natural way of being gay
Giuseppe Giofrè, born in 1993, he is the dancer who won the eleventh edition of the talent show Friends. She finished her studies in the United States where she participated in numerous music videos and collaborated with many international stars: from Dua Lipa to Jennifer Lopez, including Ricky Martin and Taylor Swift.
On the occasion of the presentation of his new autobiographical book he told Paola Di Benedetto that he has never had the need to declare that he is gay. She didn't do the classic coming out, but simply introduced her new boyfriend. She claims that starting the conversation with “Dad I owe you speak…” it implies a conception of one's sexuality as problematic, as something that must be talked about as a difficulty to be faced. Instead it should simply be a fact.
Giuseppe also declared that he was happy to participate in an edition of Friends in which the jury was predominantly gay. This indicates, in his opinion, that social discrimination based on one's sexual orientation is becoming increasingly thinner. There society it is much more fluid, more open, even if there is still a long way to go.
