Arsenal shared second place in the English Premier League table with Manchester City, thanks to its exciting victory over its guest Southampton 3-1 in the seventh stage.
The first half ended in a goalless draw, then Southampton scored in the second half, before Arsenal responded with three goals. Cameron Archer gave Southampton a goal in the 55th minute, but after only three minutes, German Kai Havertz responded with an equalizer for Arsenal.
Brazilian Gabriel Martinelli added the second goal for Arsenal in the 69th minute, then English international Bukayo Saka confirmed the hosts’ victory by scoring the third goal two minutes before the end.
The win raised Arsenal’s tally to 17 points, in third place on goal difference behind runner-up Manchester City, and one point behind leaders Liverpool, and Southampton’s tally stopped at one point in penultimate place.
Arsenal recorded its fifth victory against two draws, and it remains the only one, along with Manchester City, that has not suffered any loss so far.
