The alleged perpetrator took a mobile phone, a laptop and several small appliances, in addition to the keys to his vehicle, which he used to flee the scene of the crime and which later appeared on fire
Agents of the National Police proceeded to arrest a man of Spanish nationality and 29 years of age as the alleged perpetrator of a robbery with violence that used social networks as a hook to gain the trust of his victim. Victim and detainee met through an ‘online’ platform for romantic dates. Little by little they began to know each other and to maintain a sentimental relationship for some time.
For several weeks the alleged aggressor was gaining the trust of the victim, to the point of making an appointment to go to the complainant’s house. Both met at a point in the Murcian capital and it was the victim herself who picked up the alleged aggressor in his private vehicle, making a stop along the way at a gas station to make a purchase.
Once at home, the alleged attacker tied the victim to a chair with the victim’s consent, without suspecting anything similar to what later happened. The guest became the aggressor. He took a knife from the kitchen and threatened to use it if he did not tell him where he kept the money and valuables in the house. He managed to take a laptop, a mobile phone, some small valuable appliance, as well as the keys to the complainant’s vehicle, which he used to flee.
A few hours later, National Police agents located the vehicle burned by the flames in the surroundings of San José de la Vega, and contacted the complainant.
The members of the investigation group began an investigation by taking a statement from the victim, and after carrying out several investigations they have managed to identify the alleged aggressor, a person with a record of crimes against property, proceeding to his immediate arrest. The investigation has been carried out through agents of the Carmen District Police Station, belonging to the Superior Police Headquarters of the Region of Murcia.
