The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia carried out operation ‘Runaway’, an investigation to locate and arrest a young man who was subject to 11 search warrants, some of them for his imprisonment, which culminated in his location and arrest after breaking a restraining order regarding her ex-partner, in Cieza, according to Benemértia sources in a statement.
The detainee, a 23-year-old male, to whom the alleged authorship of the crimes of breach of sentence and injuries in the field of gender-based violence is attributed, after being brought to justice, was admitted to prison.
The investigation began when the Civil Guard was alerted to an alleged case of gender violence, which occurred in a leisure establishment in Cieza. After the victim received health care, the agents met with her and learned that despite the fact that there was a restraining order in force, her ex-partner had broken her by insulting her and assaulting her when she was in the aforementioned entertainment venue.
He tried to run away
After several days of surveillance, the suspect was located when he was driving with two companions, aboard a vehicle on a busy street in the municipality of Abarán. The civil guards intercepted the vehicle, while it tried to escape without success.
The young man, together with the proceedings instructed, was placed at the disposal of the Cieza Court of Instruction, which ordered his immediate entry into prison.
