Two underage boys have been arrested for destroying one hundred to one hundred and fifty graves at a cemetery in ‘s-Gravenzande in South Holland. In the night from Monday to Tuesday graves were turned upside down. After an investigation, the two minors were arrested on Thursday, Westland police reported Friday.
The grave robbery in the South Holland city was discovered on Tuesday morning. Thanks to tips from local residents, the police were able to track down the boys. Police have not released the boys’ ages.
The municipality of Westland has reported the vandalism. Relatives can report any damage to the police. The regional channel Broadcasting West shared photos of the vandalism: stuffed animals in the children’s cemetery were everywhere and tombs were broken.
