Around the world: alarming numbers of femicides in Brazil, Colombia and Mexico

In the first fifteen days of the year, Brazil already registers at least 50 victims of femicide, an average of four women killed per day. Meanwhile, according to the Feminicidios Colombia foundation, during the first two weeks of 2021 at least 18 women were murdered in the Andean country. Furthermore, between December and January seven girls were murdered. And in Mexico, an average of 10 women are victims of femicide and intentional homicide every day.
