Four robbers broke into a house in a neighborhood in Acarape, Brazil, to take away everything they found. And when they found the puppy of the house, a French bulldog named Bruce, they had no qualms and took him away too.
Security cameras filmed the criminals in the face, including the moment they weighed in on the dog and rushed out of the house to lock it in the car. Realizing immediately that it was a purebred dog, they thought they could make us a nest egg to resell it on the black market. But fortunately this was not the case.
According to Luan Ribeiro, 25, the dog’s guardian, the housekeeper was cleaning the sidewalk in front of the residence when she was approached by criminals, armed with guns. The employee was forced to open the gate of the residence and the criminals entered without scruples, despite the presence in the house of three adults and two children.
The family gave the video to the police but to recover the beloved Bruce safe and sound, they publicly offered a reward of 2,000 Real. Perhaps frightened by the media echo of the robbery and the tam tam on social media, the four got rid of the dog in a grove of Nova Teresina, not far from the crime scene. And that’s where a couple of passers-by found the dog 48 hours later.
Bruce was fine, he was just a little scared and super hungry. Recognizing the dog, the couple contacted authorities, allowing the expected reunion with the family, but refused the reward. They just wanted to do the right thing, heartening the family with a kind gesture after the bad situation experienced.
