Armed in St. Peter's: arrested in Rome and highly wanted

Last April 10, Moises Tejada, one of the most dangerous and wanted criminals in New York State, was found and arrested by the police. According to La Repubblica, the man was armed with two knives and was identified near St. Peter's Square.

The fifty-four-year-old American, with several criminal records behind him, was “classified as extremely violent”. After the arrest the man explained to the magistrates that he had arrived in Italy from the Ukrainian front.

In February 2022 – as reconstructed by La Repubblica – Moises Tejada left the USA and headed to Ukraine (as emerges from his passport) where he explained to the magistrates that he had fought. During the interrogation he even showed photos in camouflage, armed with pistols and rifles.
