Argentine President Alberto Fernandez received, today, Thursday, the first dose of the Russian “Sputnik V” vaccine against the emerging corona virus, at a hospital in the capital, Buenos Aires, according to the presidential office.
The health authorities agreed to vaccinate people over the age of 60 years with the vaccine. The 61-year-old president said in a tweet on Twitter, “Vaccination helps us gain immunity against Corona, let’s get vaccinated.”
This vaccine is currently widely used in many countries of the world.
Among the countries that received quantities of the “Sputnik V” vaccine from Russia: Hungary, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Bolivia, Serbia, Venezuela and others.
