According to information from Arena’s press office, dozens of service providers and specialists are already working in the areas most affected by the flood. From day one after the disaster, the priority has been to assess the extent of the damage to initiate an effective recovery plan.
The president of Arena do Grêmio, Mauro Araújo, stated that, as soon as the waters invaded the Arena, a working group dedicated to recovery was immediately formed.
According to information released to the press, the team does not rule out the possibility of spending up to 1 year without being able to use the stadium, which was the scene of 14 Grêmio titles in the last 10 years.
The floods also affected CT Cristal, the players’ training location. Therefore, the team is using CT Joaquim Grava, from Corinthians, to continue training.
