The phenomenon ofaquaplaning it is one of the most dangerous for drivers, with the loss of grip that can cause accidents endangering motorists and passengers. An important step to ensure safety in these cases was completed by EasyRain who presented DAI, acronym for Digital Aquaplaning Information. This technology is based on a virtual sensor which constantly analyzes vehicle dynamics information from existing road conditions and instantly alerts the driver with different levels of warning.
The virtual DAI sensor works through proprietary predictive algorithms that process vehicle dynamics data already available in the car network without the need for additional physical sensors. It is about a predictive technology: on vehicles that are already equipped with Easyrain AIS system provides for the instant activation of the latter, an element capable of counteracting the aquaplaning phenomenon with total effectiveness. The DAI can be integrated on all vehicles, without further additional sensors. Through the interaction with the 5G network and Smart Cities, the DAI provides detailed information to warn vehicles about the dangerous conditions represented by the wet road surface. In this sense, the creation of a Cloud dedicated to the collection and sharing of information on the dangerous conditions of wet roads is able to extend this offer.
